Description

Nylon tube runs oil or grease from a pump or distributor to the lubrication point in place of copper or aluminium line. The tube body is smooth with low fluid resistance, is self-lubricating and does not contain plasticisers, and resists water, oil and gas without containing strong acid or alkali. It is supplied in natural, yellow and black.

Two sizes are stocked: 4 × 2.5 mm in PA12, and 6 × 4 mm in PA11, the latter also rated for resistance to weak acid and alkali. Both run from −30°C to 120°C and are packed 100 metres to a roll.

Avoid letting the tube rub against other components, and avoid excessive pulling, twisting or bending, which can damage or deform the tube wall and affect performance. Above 70°C, performance falls off with rising temperature, including a reduction in burst pressure — use with caution above this point.

The manufacturer publishes the same burst pressure, minimum bend radius and wall weight for both sizes; treat the 6 × 4 mm figures as provisional and confirm with us before specifying the tube for a pressurised line.
