Model code decoder
Paste the model code from a pump's nameplate and read what it says: capacity, motor, timer, reservoir and options. It reads the ordering scheme published in each factory manual, for the TZ, HL, GM and ZJ pumps.
TZ type oil lubrication pump
How a TZ code is read
From the ordering guide in the factory manual (PDF). See the TZ Type Oil Lubrication Pump for the specification.
| Position | What the code says |
|---|---|
| Discharge capacity |
|
| Motor poles |
|
| Timer module |
|
| Motor supply |
|
| Reservoir |
|
| Pressure switch |
|
| Pressure take-off |
|
| Motor option |
|
| Buzzer |
|
| Level switch |
|
Worked example from the guide.
TZ-2232-410X is read as 2 2 3 2 4 10 X: A TZ pump with a single phase 220 V motor and the NK-3 digital timer, a 4 L reservoir, a pressure switch acting at 10 kgf/cm² and a built-in pressure take-off.
HL type oil lubrication pump
How a HL code is read
From the ordering guide in the factory manual (PDF). See the HL Type Oil Lubrication Pump for the specification.
| Position | What the code says |
|---|---|
| Discharge capacity |
|
| Motor poles |
|
| Timer module |
|
| Motor supply |
|

Worked example from the guide.
HL-2212-210X is read as 2 2 1 2 2 10 X: An HL pump delivering 100 to 200 cc/min, with a single phase 220 V motor and built-in dual-timer module, a 2 L reservoir, a pressure switch acting at 10 kgf/cm² and a built-in pressure take-off.
GM type grease lubrication pump
How a GM code is read
From the ordering guide in the factory manual (PDF). See the GM Type Grease Lubrication Pump for the specification.
| Position | What the code says |
|---|---|
| Discharge capacity |
|
| Motor poles |
|
| Timer module |
|

Worked example from the guide.
GM-3204-230X is read as 3 2 0 4 2 30 X: A GM grease pump delivering 200 to 300 cc/min, with no timer module and a three phase 380 V motor, a 2 L reservoir, a pressure switch acting at 30 kgf/cm² and a built-in pressure take-off.
ZJ type high-pressure grease pump
How a ZJ code is read
From the ordering guide in the factory manual (PDF). See the ZJ Type High Pressure Grease Pump for the specification.
| Position | What the code says |
|---|---|
| Discharge capacity |
|

| Output |
|
Worked example from the guide.
ZJ3612S is read as 3 6 1 2 S: A ZJ grease pump delivering 2 to 3 mL/min from a single pumping unit, with a DC 24 V motor, a time-programming controller, a 2 L reservoir, an aluminium alloy chassis, a level switch and a fixed output stroke.
What this does not cover
When a code will not decode
Everything above comes from the ordering guide in each factory manual, and only from there. The India range also includes variants those guides do not list: the TZ pump, for instance, is supplied here for 24 V DC, 110 V AC and 415 V three-phase, none of which has a code in the guide. A code outside the scheme is shown as such rather than guessed at.
The 34, 35 and RH-3 distributors give their outlet capacities digit by digit in a code of variable length, and the guides for the other pumps either publish no scheme or one we have not encoded yet. For any of those, or a code that stops decoding partway, send us the nameplate.
Code not on this page?
Send us the nameplate, or a photograph of it, with the machine it came off. We will read it and come back with the replacement.
We reply by email, usually within a working day.
